By Susan Piperato, 02/02/10

NEW YORK, NY—Bringing together more than three decades of experience, Manhattan-based commercial brokerage firm The Hunter Organization and Phoenix Asset Management have joined forces under the Coldwell Banker Commercial banner as the flagship office in Manhattan, operating as Coldwell Banker Commercial Hunter Phoenix.

The Hunter Realty Organization, LLC led by Peter Sabesan and Richard Selig, principals and co-founders, has been a major presence in Manhattan office and retail leasing since 1997, working for a host of well-known tenants, such as Allianz Global and American Express, and preeminent landlords, including SL Green.

Phoenix Asset Management, headed by Barry Pincus, President, and Brad Pincus, Vice President, is responsible for more than 7 million square feet of commercial real estate nationwide, including one of New York’s signature landmark office properties, The Woolworth Building.

The alliance of Hunter and Phoenix expands the firms’ service lines and provides them with a worldwide base, critical for the rapidly changing commercial real estate market.

“Commercial real estate increasingly requires a global network and we have found an opportune way to expand our reach,” says Mr. Sabesan. “Coldwell Banker Commercial is a worldwide leader in the real estate marketplace and we are proud to be a part of it.”

Adds Brad Pincus, “Our alliance with Coldwell Banker is a fortuitous one because we are able to provide additional services to our clients. Between our national client base, Hunter’s strong relationships in Manhattan and Coldwell Banker’s unparalleled global network, we look forward to a very successful new venture.”

The Coldwell Banker Commercial system currently has more than 220 companies and more than 3,400 commercial real estate professionals in 20 countries worldwide.
